Awards of Excellence
Awards of Excellence celebrates the values and behaviors we seek from all employees. The goal is to recognize creativity and grassroots thinking, increased productivity and efficiency, and employees who show tremendous effort and dedication. In addition, all nominees should be models of our Guiding Principles.
Awards of Excellence are global contributions from all functions, regions and levels within the organization:
Operational Excellence
Recognizes contributions in process improvement, innovation and ingenuity, perseverance, and great ideas. This category received the most nominations in 2015 and included the achievements of the Jinshan Yield Improvement Project, the OTBP/TTBP Bottoms Project and our winner, the Lote Zero Discharge Project. Supply Chain Excellence
Awards innovation and ROI in addressing a significant supply chain challenge. Nominations should demonstrate a new approach to improving supply chain performance, or one that strengthens a supply chain relationship. Our nominations last year were narrowed to two very specific projects – the Oil Field Resin team and the Dow Phenol team. View our 2015 winners.
Commercial Excellence
Celebrates superb sales channel management, calculated risk taking, and the creation of value through pricing or customer/market innovation. The four finalists in 2015 embraced Commercial Excellence strategies, leading to increased value to our customers, and finding efficiencies within our sales teams. View our 2015 winners.
EHS Excellence (Site)
Reinforces our “Journey to Zero” – all sites achieving EHS performance criteria would receive this award. This is a collective effort of all employees at each site as we strive to operate as world-class facilities. View our 2015 winners.
EHS Excellence (Individual/Team)
Recognizes extraordinary contributions towards achieving SI Group’s vision of Zero. This award will celebrate achievements that go “above and beyond” to enable sustained world-class EHS performance. View our 2015 winners.
Innovation Excellence
Recognizes innovation related to production, applications, or patent development, or leveraging change through speed, efficiency or growth. This category isn’t limited to innovations in R&D, but rather new ways of approaching business and strategy at all levels of the organization. View our 2015 winners.

Celebrates achievements that go “above and beyond” outside of the above categories, and employees whose performance consistently produces high impact value to the Company. View our 2015 winners.
